Our products are available to download from our web sites.  The download file includes all Visual Basic, Crystal Reports and .NET framework run time files.  The Application executable is fully functioned and will work for a trial period of 30 days from the time it is installed.  If you require more time for this let us know and we can send you a license file to extend that trial period.

At the end of the trial period, the program will display a message to tell you it has expired, and will then stop.

Reinstalling the software on the same machine does not restart the trial period

Product Activation

When you purchase some of our products, you will sent a product activation code.  Use the cViewACTIVATE form built into that application to activate the program and remove the trial period limitation from that program. 

This form is usually available from the Help/Activate Product menu (cViewBATCH doesn't have a user interface of it's own, so use the menu on the cViewCONNECT form). It can also be run in the stand alone cViewACTIVATE program.  We now include this form inside the executable itself.

The activation code is product specific, so you cannot use a cView activation code on cViewMANAGER.

Product Activation is currently available with cView. cViewMANAGER, cViewSERVER, cViewREMOTE and cViewBATCH, .  As each new release appears, product activation will be included with each product

Enter the name you want for your license, and the activation code you have been sent.  Click the "Apply" button and a license file will be built with that license name and activation code. The form will also display the product and quantity of licenses that the activation code has generated. 

License File

The original method to convert a trial license install into a full product was to send the user a license file.  This was a brief email message with an XML file attachment. When you get this email message, save the file attachment in your program folder.  The next time you run the program it will display the license name in the main form.

As spam volumes increased, more and more mail systems blocked a longer list of file attachments.  The xml file can be sent as a txt file and other file extensions are also valid.  This method is still valid for all products.  The activation code above is a faster way to create the license file locally .

Product Maintenance

Our cView product suite has been selling internationally since November 1999 and has been continually updated and maintained since then.  We think it reasonable that those earlier users pay a small charge to use the new developments we have included in the new releases.

The original installed program and license file will continue to work forever.  We do not put any limitations in the fully licensed application.

Each new release includes features for current users.  Those with older licenses will see a message telling them their license is too old to make use of this new release. If you purchase maintenance we will send you an additional license file to enable the new release.
